Fruit Carry to Fruit Make

We read / study a Bible which is a translation of God’s word – written in the Greek Language (the New Testament) and in the Hebrew / Aramic Languages (the Old Testament).
When we study the Bible, Jesus Christ, the author of the Bible speaks to us.
It is essential to read / study Bible a properly translated to understand God’s will for us.

We read in John 15:5,8 (KJV), I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abide in me, and I in him, the same bring forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. 8Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.
Jesus Christ is instructing.
  1. Those abide in Christ and Christ in them bring forth much fruit (verse 5).
  2. Those bear much fruit glorify Christ Father and they be Christ disciples (verse 8).

Let us go to Christ to understand His instructions given in John 15:5,8.
This instruction was given to Apostle John, who them wrote in the Greek Language preserved by God Almighty for us.
We do not have to be Greek / Hebrew scholar to know God’s will for us.
Thanks to James Strong (1822–1894), American Methodist theologian and professor, who compiled the Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance of the Bible, published in 1890. He led a team to index every word in the King James Version (KJV) and developed a numbering system for Hebrew and Greek roots, known as “Strong’s Numbers“.
In this study we are interested to know the Greek word(s) and their meaning used by Apostle John, which has been transled to English, bring forth in John 15:5 and bear in John 15:8.
Based on the Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance Apostle John used the Greek word pherō in John 15:5 meaning carry in English and NOT bring forth which is an erroneous translation.
Apostle John used the Greek word pherō in John 15:8 meaning carry in English and NOT bear.
Once again based on the Strong’s Exhaustive Concordancebear“, make, do in the Greek Language is poieō
Here is an example where this Greek word (poieō) is used by Luke, who wrote about Jesus Christ to “most excellent Theophilus (Luke 1:3)
Jesus Christ used the Greek word (poieō) in this case,
and if it bear (poieō) fruit, well: and if not, then after that thou shalt cut it down, Luke 13:9.

The fruit that we make, produce (poieō) comes from us in thought, word and action,
John the baptist told everyone who came to him
Make / do accordingly fruit suitable (as if drawing praise) the compunction (for guilt, including reformation), Matt 13:9 (KJV / the Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance).
Jesus Christ said the following,
Every tree not brings forth (poieō) good (kalos in English valuable or virtuous) fruit is cut down, and cast into the fire. 20Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them, Matt 7:19-20 (KJV / the Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance).
Christians are commanded by Christ to make, produce (poieō) valuable or virtuous (kalos).
Either make (poieō) the tree good (kalos in English valuable or virtuous), and his fruit good (kalos in English valuable or virtuous); or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by fruit, Matt 12:33 (KJV / the Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance).
Christ our creator who knows us better than anyone instructs, make (poieō) the tree valuable / virtuous (kalos), which is us and its fruit valuable / virtuous (kalos).
We are to produce (poieō) valuable / virtuous (kalos) fruit by being valuable / virtuous (kalos).

Conclusion

John 15:5,8 (KJV / the Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance) will read as,
I am the vine, you the branch: He abide in me, and I in him, the same carry (pherō
) much fruit: for without me you can do nothing.
Jesus Christ instructed Apostle Paul to record,
Make replete, i.e. to cram (plēroō) fruit equity (of character) (dikaiosynē), which is through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise God, Phil 1:11 (KJV / the Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance)
We, the branches of this vine, Jesus Christ are to replete (plēroō) fruit equity (dikaiosynē) making us valuable / virtuous (kalos) to make, do, produce (poieō) valuable / virtuous (kalos) fruit.
